AG was launched in 2000 by Yul Ku, a pioneer in the denim industry. While our DNA is rooted in denim, AG’s evolution from an exclusively premium denim brand to a contemporary lifestyle brand began in 2008 when Samuel Ku, son of Yul Ku, took over as the brand’s Creative Director. Since then, Samuel and the AG design team have focused their efforts on seamlessly integrating complete collections that reflect the true sensibility of the brand: Chic. Sophisticated. Classic.
From the initial stages of concept and design, to cutting, sewing, laundering, finishing and shipping, AG’s vertically integrated manufacturing facilities unite our design expertise with manufacturing ingenuity—truly unparalleled in the fashion industry.

AG SELVAGE INSIDE POCKET COPY:
Selvage is crafted from superior, durable cotton yarns on traditional shuttle looms using a continuous thread woven horizontally. The result is a clean, fray-free edge to the fabric that you can admire with a flip of the cuff.
These jeans are meant to be worn without washing for as long as possible. Washing makes garments fade and shrink and you want to preserve this jean’s unwashed character. Throughout wear this pair will mold to your body and develop natural stress lines and unique fades. Eventually, your jeans will be a one of a kind.
The uncured leather patch will also age. Smell it and feel it now and witness the leather weather and darken over time. Lastly, avoid rubbing up against pale fabrics while you are wearing these, the indigo dye combined with your body heat can cause color bleeding.
Your selvage jeans will last longer and look better the more you wear them…and the less you wash them.

Similar to AG, where father and sons work side-by-side, Buttero is a family affair. The calzature was founded in 1974 by Mauro Sani in Tuscany, Italy, and is now run by Mauro and his three sons.
